I know . . . I have been away from the blogging world for quite some time. Clinic has been occupying a pretty decent part of my life, and this Spanish class isn’t exactly a stroll en el parque.

Thank you, y’all, for your genuine concerns about my health. Luckily, my post on February 20 wasn’t my final farewell. I am fortunate the killers have not yet found me. Although I have not received another death threat, this does not mean I am in the clear. Nicky and Alex Katsopolis [NAK] were immediately added to the suspect list because of D’s investigation. BTK has been removed from the list. To this day, NAK are alive and well, and they may blame me for their downfall. As a result, I am still taking extra precautions. The threat level is between elevated and serious, though not quite severe . . . yet.

I have found a place to live for the summer, and I have decided to take the true Southern route. I placed a posting on Craig’s List about a month ago and received a bunch of responses immediately. Some of the places were really expensive (like 1000 bones a month); some were outside the city; some needed me out by August 1 because their leases ended the beginning of August. After a month of searching frantically, I have finalized my plans tonight. I am living (in sin) with a 50-something-old North Carolinian woman. Adventurous, I know. I spoke with her tonight on the telephone for the first time, and she has the most adorable accent. The location is perfect, the price is right (I heart Plinko), and the experience is unique -- I couldn't pass it up.

I wonder, though, if she’s ever been to Belgium . . .
