I came across this website the other day, www.thoseshirts.com. The site sells outrageously hilarious gear. I have narrowed it down to three shirts that I just find absolutely uproarious.
This is the first one.
This is the second one.
This is the third one.
The third one upsets me because someone had to put [some] thought into making the t-shirt. It’s not like shirt #1 or shirt #2 in the sense that the person who thought of the idea picked something random out of the air and decided to stamp it on a shirt.
T-shirt #3 required some thought, collaboration, and a grade 5 U.S. History textbook. Conveniently, the t-shirt avoids mentioning other U.S. interventionist marks in the “World Freedom Tour.” I wonder why this is. For printing costs reasons – I am sure – the following countries didn’t make the Tour list:
1948 Costa Rica
1954 Guatemala
1954 Korea
1961 Ecuador
1962 Brazil
1963 Guatemala
1964 Nicaragua
1965 Dominican Republican
1967 Bolivia
1960s & 1970s Vietnam
1973 Chile
1980s Nicaragua
1980s El Salvador
1998 Sudan
Those are just a few off the top of my head, mainly focused on major
interventionist agendas in Latin America. To look at United States military
interventionist efforts in Africa [of which I am totally ignorant], please see here.
